Happy New Year all you Deskers!
So! I am in mondo writing mode to get this chapter done asap but before that we need to get you the goodies you wanted over the break. First thing is first, the MGP Chapter 3 fan commentary is now up for your viewing pleasure! Big thanks to Gavin and Shadowmaster as they were the only ones who commented during the busy Christmas season and their humor was spot on! As per usual it is in docx file type and has the WONDERFULLY hilarious commentary of my $5 and up Patreon patrons. I really am enjoying the commentaries and I hope you all are enjoying them too!
To that point, I’ll be posting the Chapter 4 commentary for fans to comment on sometime today. So if you’re one of my $5 and up patrons I’ll send you a message through Patreon to let you know when I sent out the invitations.

In other other patron news, the January pin-up image will be ready in a week or two. My artist got delayed by the holidays too. The image will be of New Years Eve Angela. So you know it’ll be good. 😉
Finally, some non-Patron news but just awesome news. One of the friends of the story, Theo has been busy this Christmas and given us all some presents. You may remember Theo’s work on Spirit Guard Serenity’s daggers, really awesome stuff. Well, the little trooper has decided to do Tenacity’s humongous sword too! And he’s decided to throw in just a few more details. Check this sugar out!

First of all, shattered Day LaMode’s arm in the pic? Love it! Secondly, Current Subject in the background? Nailed it! He even has the tile breaking up from the sword hitting it! What detail! And then there is the sword itself! The original concept I had was a much more Cloud-from-FF7 type sword but I love this WAY more. I love how it gets bigger at the edge. It’s like a club/sword hybrid and I feel that is much more Tenacity’s style. I’m retconning the sword to look like this (whenever I get around to that). How can you not love this sword’s look!?
But was Theo done with presents for you the fans? No! He wasn’t! He decided to create an ebook version of the story! You can download either the .epub or .mobi versions, whichever you want, to peruse the first 16 chapters story on your ebook device of your choice. I don’t know much about ebooks myself but that is so cool! Theo, this is currently how I feel thanks to you! Three cheers for super-fan Theo!
So yeah, Theo is basically the most awesome fan ever. I mean, I’m not saying you’re a bad fan if you aren’t making ebooks and fanart of MGP, I’m just saying that Theo certainly has a leg up on you. 😉
Okay, last thing before I go is I don’t have a modified date for Chapter 17’s delivery date. My GOAL is for the 16th (with writing done by the 6th so I can give my editor a decent amount of time to actually edit this sucker. My current plan is to make this chapter a big one but I’m not sure on how that feels just yet. I’ll have to see if the long chapter feels okay or if I should chop it somewhere and continue 18 at a different spot. Regardless, the chapter will have SOMETHING in the first half of this month. That much I can promise! So I guess I’m saying the latest you’ll see this chapter posted is noon on the 16th XD

I don’t mean to contradict you on your own creation, but isn’t that Day LaMode’s arm? She’s the one they fought at the Current Subject and lost an arm, and Polygal had blue skin. PLEASE FORGIVE MY IMPERTINENCE OH GREAT CREATOR!
Also, keep up the great work. MGP is one of my favorite ongoing stories I’m reading right now.

It was just a random mannequin arm from any of the dozens of mannequins that surrounded the spirit guard. I wasn’t thinking of specifically including Day la mode. Otherwise I’d have included something more distinctive of her into the scene.
Thanks for the update. I think we were all slammed this Xmas – for us it has been MAD busy from Nov 1/2014 – Jan 1/2015.
Just a suggestion though to keep things “realistic” for you and your readers. If you are still doing monthly chapter releases by Nov of next year you may want to skip the December release entirely and just set the projected release date on the site to Jan 12th 2016 (or so) whenever you post the Nov 2015 chapter.
Let’s face it, very few people who live in the US really get much done in the month of December other than work, family and prepping for Xmas/New Year. Its a crazy crazy time of the year 🙂
