Okay, after the whirlwind of a day yesterday, we have a new month and a new monthly image. This time, I decided to go with the venerable DracoDragite once again. The picture… Robynne’s cheer profile! Sure, it’s a bit of a spoiler as it hasn’t technically been finished by Stacy yet but… well… who can resist seeing a tortured Robynne posing?
In other news. Commentary for chatper 35 has been completed. I’m looking forward to your comments on the chapter.
In asking DracoDragite what was the most difficult part about this commission I expected him to say “pompoms” as those things look like a bear to draw to me. I was surprised when he said “the letters on the top are so hard to make look right.” Now that he said that, I couldn’t help but feel he did a great job with it. Also, again, doesn’t Robynne just look soooooo into her photos?
Okay, let’s get one last prompt in here for good measure- monsters are real and the Spirit Guard get turned into them. What would be funniest? For me, I’m thinking Robynne as some vampire’s sexy sire, because Robynne dressed as a goth is funny. You?
Thanks for all the support for 3 in April!
Taralynn
Hrrrm…Mallory as…Something or another that’s more about mental powers and trickery then power. Kitsune maybe?
Kara’s a mummy because motherly. Yes I’m terrible for that.
Vivian…Swamp thing! She’s off beat enough to have fun with that. also lol making the fire-user amphibious.
Angela…I feel like her reaction to discovering she’s a werewolf would be hilarious, as is the amount she’d probably exaggerate how bad it is (just lock yourself up once a month. No problem!)
Robynne…Robynne gets to be Bigfoot. because for as big and strong as the Sasquash would be if it was real, no one ever manages to catch decent photos of it!
Robynne gets turned into a mermaid
They never have to fight in large bodies of water
Robynne, like, would totally be some sort of succubi due to the nature of her situation. The rest of them would be slimy, scary Old Ones. Y’know, like, Cthulhu. Like, right?
Heh, poor Robynne, but I love the pic showing her so delightfully awkward, yet trying to be into it.
The prompt is another fun one. I like your idea, Taralynn, of Robynne being forced to dress goth and a vampire’s reluctant, sexy sire. Two other fun and delightfully awkward options for Robynne (because I’m evil), would be a Siren or a Nymph. A Siren, since it’s a beautiful creature that lures men to their deaths with an irresistible voice (which would be fitting if Robynne turns out to be a great singer). It amuses me in an evil way if she’s stuck with the power to lure men to her, which is something she firmly does not want right now, haha. The Nymph is kind of similar, even though it isn’t typically seen as a “monster.” Just being a beautiful, young, nubile nature spirit would be so awkward for Robynne, it’s like doubling down on Fate’s choice for her new body.
Vivian is easy… imp or gremlin. Pretty self-explanatory, no?
Angela, hmm, maybe have her be a vampire? I can see interesting character development in being a creature that has to feed off of human blood. Though she’d probably have to feed off fresh blood the first time, I could see her trying to find a way around it eventually. Sorta like Blade. And you could still have Robynne be her sexy goth sire… just because it would be funny and so very awkward for the both of them, haha.
Mallory… how about Frankenstein’s monster? Big, strong, terrifying… and her weakness would be the fire-wielding Vivian. Bwahaha. (Though I’d definitely go more for the pop-culture Frankenstein, because as much as I love books/novels I was really, *really* not a fan of Mary Shelly’s novel.)
Kara, now she’s difficult. If we wanted her to be a slightly monstrous version of herself, maybe a Fallen Angel? But I don’t think that really captures the correct feel. Oh! How about this? Take a dark twist on her healing abilities and make her a Necromancer. Kara with undead minions, oh yes. Haha.
Pokes Taralynn since it’s been almost 3 weeks or so since we heard from her 😛
Pokes her too 🙂
